For all of you who attended and volunteered your time at the Meet Your Best Friend at the Zoo Event on Saturday, June 12th, THANK YOU! The event was so widely attended this year, with more than 4,600 people walking through the wonderful set-up of tents, which housed over 20 local humane organizations. There were over 90 on-site adoptions, which broke the record from last year’s 80 adoptions. Two of the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter’s pooches were included in that total; Fritz, a male Poodle mix and Betsy, a sweet female Boston Terrier Boxer mix who has been at the Shelter since March 2010. And a huge thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this event possible. Even though the weather reached over 90 degrees and there was rain, all had a great time.
