There is a big Thank You in order from the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter for the opportunity to join Mix 106.5 at the IX Indoor Amusement Park for two special and fun-filled weekends in April. The IX Indoor Amusement Park opened their lobby to the volunteers from the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter on Saturday, April 10th and April 17th of this year. The IX staff made flyers for the Shelter, allowing us to give any adult who donated to the Best Friends’ Medical Relief Fund a discount off their admission tickets, with all proceeds going to our dogs and puppies needing medical care. We also had amusement park goers stop by and inquire about the Shelter and the plentiful amount of dogs and puppies for adoption.
A special thanks to the Shelter volunteers who helped make this event such a success: on Saturday April 10th – Melanie, Josie, Andrea, Corrine, Jill, Carol and Janice; and on Saturday, April 17th – Kelly, Donna, Marijo, David P., David J. All these people took time out of their busy Saturdays to donate their time and enthusiam to this wonderful event and allow us the opportunity to share information about our Shelter. Thanks again to everyone who worked so hard and their energy that went into this event!
