Help Cuyahoga County’s Stray and Abandoned Dogs
CURRENT NEEDS
Volunteers are always needed to walk and socialize our shelter dogs. Attendance at an orientation session is required before you can begin. Please contact Kara Archer, our new volunteer coordinator, at karcher@cuyahogacounty.us or 216-525-4817 for more information. Thank you!
Volunteer Your Time
If you have some free time to spare and love dogs, helping our homeless pups can be a VERY rewarding experience. To get started, you’ll need to attend a volunteer orientation. Please contact Kara Archer, the volunteer coordinator, (karcher@cuyahogacounty.us or 216-525-4817), for the date and time of the next volunteer orientation.
A team of volunteers assist the shelter with many activities that we would be unable to accomplish otherwise.
These include:
- Bathing and grooming our dogs
- Exercising and socializing our dogs
- Foster care
- Adoption Follow-Ups
- Literature Distribution
- Fund-Raising
- Humane Education
- Promotional Booth Work
Donations are Welcome
Many items are needed to help us provide the best of care for our homeless shelter friends.
We can always use:
- Towels
- Blankets
- Collars and leashes
- Laundry soap, bleach, and other cleaning supplies
- Dog Treats
- Bowls
- Food
- Toys and Plastic Bags
- Items for raffle gift baskets to raise money for the Best Friends’ Medical Relief Fund
These items are just a few of the many things you can donate to help Cuyahoga County’s homeless dogs. All contributions will directly benefit the shelter dogs and are greatly appreciated!
We also gratefully accept tax-deductible monetary donations at any time from individuals, groups, or businesses. Please contact Lesley DeSouza in our business office at 216-525-4813 if you have questions.
