Life with Bowline!

We adopted little Bo back in August and we wanted to give an update on how he is doing! Bo has really grown to love playing and has gotten so much braver throughout these months. He goes for his daily walk and that is one of his favorite things for sure! He has a whole basket of toys and seems to play with them all equally! Bo is very sweet with his toys as well- he always takes them out of the cage when he leaves and carries them around everywhere. He loves cuddling and very, VERY patient when we brush his teeth. He is the sweetest dog and is getting better every day.
Our neighbor has a dog and she comes over all of the time and they play together. Bo loves females and has been friendly with every dog he has come across while living with us. Bo loves the snow and is still a little confused by our Christmas tree.
Bo has also learned some tricks! We taught him sit, both paws, and to lay down. We are currently working on “roll over”.
I just wanted everyone at the animal shelter to know that Bo is doing great and truly seems to be enjoying himself in every way possible. He has gained almost 7 pounds since we’ve adopted him and the vet said he is very healthy! We love Bo so much and we are so thankful we took him home.
Sally May & Friends

I adopted Sally May, my Border Collie mix, from your shelter in May of 2004. She is the most well behaved, loving dog I have ever met. From what I was told, she appeared to have been badly abused prior to coming to the shelter. I wasn’t planning on adopting that day, but I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. She was afraid of people (especially men) but now she comes up to anyone who will look at her and just wants to be loved! We recently took her and her sisters (also rescues) to see Santa and they had a blast. Thank you for all your hard work to protect and find homes for wonderful dogs like Sally May! Happy Holidays! |
