Do you have a favorite photo of your dog you want to show off? Now’s your chance! The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is gearing up for the production of the 2011 Shelter Dogs calendar, and we need your help…correction our dogs need your help!


For just $25 per photo you can have your dog included in our 2011 calendar, and at the same time your contribution will go to the Best Friends’ Medical Relief Fund that helps to care for the sick and injured dogs at our shelter. The per photo donation guarantees your photo(s) will be included in the calendar and as a special thanks for your support you will receive a copy of our calendar. All entries must be postmarked / submitted by August 13, 2010.


The Rules

  1. Submit $25 per photo you wish to have included in the Calendar.
  2. Payment should be in the form of a check made payable to the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter. Payments should be sent to the shelter at the address below.
  3. Photos must be of dogs only – No Humans or other critters please.
  4. Do not submit any copyrighted or professional photographs.
  5. Photos can be submitted in either digital format or as a 4×6 print, and they should be in a horizontal format. Digital photos are preferred. We cannot return photographs.
  6. Digital specs:
    • Submit via online at: www.cuyahogadogs.com/photo-submission-form
    • We recommend using images that measure a minimum of 2048×1536 in pixel size. Any picture taken from a 5 megapixel or greater camera should be acceptable.
    • Scanned photos should be a minimum size of 4”x6” and at 300 dpi.
    • Files should be in a file format of .jpg or .tif
    • Please include your dog’s name and your last name as the file name for your image.
  7. 4×6 Print specs:
    • Submit via mail at the address below and include the following form: Photo Submission Form (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this form.)
    • Minimum print size should be 4×6 in horizontal format
    • No cell phone or Polaroid images
    • Please do not write on the back of the image.
