This is Lucky getting a bath. Although she looks miserable, she is a very happy and loving dog. When we first got her, she was afraid of everyone, but now LOVES to play with anyone she can.
I adopted my dog Sasha from your pound in June of 2007 and she has turned out to be an amazing dog. I immediately noticed her intelligence and started to take her to agility training in which she is excelling. Not only did she immediately bring happiness to my life, but she played an integral role in getting to know my future wife. She was the proud owner of an eight-year-old hound mix, Porter who was also adopted from a county pound, and all four of us would spend a lot of time together. As she and Porter became inseparable, so did Jill and I.
Now we are a large and growing family (with two cats as well) and it might not have happened if I didn’t find Sasha that day in June. I appreciate all the work you do trying to find good homes for all the homeless animals. Any future pet in our family will be adopted from a pound or other rescue group and we thank you for all you do. Please find the attached pictures of Sasha and one of Sasha sleeping next to Porter.
I want to thank you for giving me the best thing in the world! I got my guy Sebastian (a shepherd mix you called Stitches and Constantine) a little over 4 years ago when he was 1. I came to get a dog and saw the saddest looking pup sitting in the corner wearing an E-collar. He’d been in the shelter for about a month and I felt too bad to leave him behind! He was the naughtiest thing when I got him- constantly running away and eating books, couches and any food he could find. Six months later we moved to Chicago where he became a social butterfly and finally started behaving! He loves trips to the beach with his Rottweiler brother, Eli, and loves to torment his cat brothers and sisters at home. Thank you SO much for putting so much of your time into Sebastian. He’s my best friend and I don’t know what I would do without him!!!
