Thank you so much for such a wonderful dog.
This is Meadow (now Reese) playing in the backyard. She loves to fetch and go for long walks. We took her to the park and she loves to chase squirrels and birds. She is very well-behaved and is very affectionate.
Thanks to our Donors!

A special thank you to the wonderful volunteers at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter for all their hard work and their generous donations!
Thanks to all of the wonderful area businesses and individuals who’ve donated to this year’s adoptathon raffle, we have 14 fabulous gift baskets (see the raffle basket list below) that will be raffled off to support the shelter’s Best Friends’ Medical Relief Fund. Tickets are now available at the shelter on Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4 at a cost of $1 each or 6 for $5. If you’d like to pick up a packet of 60 tickets to sell to friends and family, please email shelter volunteers Lynn at jewell.l@sbcglobal.net or Barb at bwible@roadrunner.com. Winners will be drawn on Sat May 16, 2009 at 4:30 pm. All winners will be notified by phone and the baskets held at the shelter in Valley View for pickup.
The Best Friends’ Medical Relief Fund provides veterinary care for sick and injured dogs that arrive at our shelter so they too will have a second chance at a happy life. This year the number of dogs whose lives depend upon the fund has never been greater–we’re seeing more and more heartworm positive dogs, dogs with broken bones, and other injuries. We’d like to help them all but in order to do so, we need you! Our goal this year is $15,000 so we’re going to need everyone’s help to get there!

I adopted Snoopy from the Cuyahoga County Kennel a few weeks ago. I wanted to let you know that he is doing great. I changed his name to Milton, and call him Milty for short. Milty is settling in well with my other dog, Scarlett. I have attached a picture of the two of them together. He has had some separation anxiety issues, but they are improving. He goes once a week to Inn the Doghouse, a doggie daycare center in Cleveland, where he does extremely well with the other dogs. He has learned some basic commands, such as come and sit, and is doing well with housetraining (He would go in the house when I would leave. I keep him in my kitchen now when I leave). He is such a snuggler. He loves to sit with me on the couch and generally being around anyone. My sisters, who are 8, adore him when I take him to visit. The girls have two peek-a-poos, and the three dogs are a riot to watch outside. Milty tears around the yard with the two dogs in tow. He really is a very easy-going dog, and he has been such a great addition. I had been looking for a second dog for almost 6 months and it took me only a few minutes to decide to bring him home when I saw him.
